The moment you did, something burned a scar across your back and threw you out. Three weeks later you leave the hospital sure of one thing: it was no accident, and you are going back.

Going back takes gear, and every piece comes with a price. Sarah tests the institute's VR helmets and wants a full report. Lucy, a neurotech researcher, wants a guinea pig. Eve, who makes the project's art, wants you to drop by. Between log-ins you run a real week of your own: shifts at the dumpling restaurant, the gym and the library, dates, and a map full of people who keep their own schedules.
