Linden House is a private fertility clinic running a study for patients who would rather skip the catheter. You are the staff donor: code name D-7, a fixed salary, and the right to turn down any session. Three women have chosen your profile, each for a different reason, and the director knows more about all of it than she should.

Ivy arrives early with forty-one questions. Rox arrives on the second and wants a donor who will not get attached. Dr. Margot Lindqvist wrote the program and keeps one desk drawer shut. Between sessions you walk the clinic, talk to the staff, read the charts and decide whose door to knock on next.
